Dr Sanzhuan (Sandra) Guo, Principal Lawyer

Dr Guo holds a current legal practising certificate from South Australia and was also a registered migration agent (MARN: 1280860). 

Dr Sanzhuan Guo was accredited by the Law Institute of Victoria in October 2016 as an immigration law specialist. There are only 48 accredited specialists in immigration law so far and Dr Guo is, to the best of her knowledge, the only one with a mainland China background.

Prior to her establishment of McFarland’s Solicitors in Adelaide, Dr Guo practised immigration law at Holding Redlich’s Melbourne headquarters and worked as an in-house lawyer at the University of Melbourne.  In China, she was an in-house lawyer with GE China (Medical Systems) and practised corporate law in a Chinese Red Circle law firm - Beijing Jingtian & Gongcheng.

Dr Guo also holds a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 3  certificate (Distinction). 

Dr Tim McFarland – Lawyer and IT Support

Dr Tim McFarland is also a graduate of Melbourne Law School (JD) as well as Monash University (Engineering, Economics). He has been admitted to practice law in Australia and also has a varied professional background in Australian companies. He completed a PhD in international law at the University of Melbourne in December 2017. 

Dr McFarland also holds a Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET) Level 2  certificate (Distinction).
